Pastor David Michael was born in Southern Illinois in 1949 and grew up in Robinson, Illinois. His family moved to Brownsburg, Indiana his senior year of High School. During high school he felt called to preach but was unable to pursue the ministry at that time. After working for New York Central Railroad and Penn Central Railroad for one year, he served in the US Navy in the Nuclear Power Program, including 3 ½ years on a Nuclear Submarine. After eight years in the Navy, he settled in Idaho.
Prior to retiring from the Idaho National Laboratory as a Project Manager and a Project Controls Engineer 2102, Pastor Michael served many years as a lay pastor and fill-in Pastor for vacationing pastors and churches without a pastor throughout Eastern Idaho. He served as an Ordained Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Idaho Falls for over 34 years. For over 25 years he has been a member of the Sunday School Education Training Team for the Utah/Idaho Southern Baptist Convention.
In 2012, David served unofficially as the Interim Pastor at Blackfoot Southern Baptist Church for nine months. In March of 2016, he was called to serve as the Minister of Education at Grace at Riverside Baptist Church in Blackfoot. Pastor David Michael became the Senior Pastor at Grace in 2017.
David was happily married for 47 years to his wife, Barbara Michael who faithfully supported his ministry. She passed away in August of 2019. David later met and married Clairice Michael who supports his ministry as well.
